Top Knot and Weekend Casual
Monday, January 6, 2014
Is it really already Monday again?! How is it that the week creeps by and the weekend FLIES by? I don't get it. It is what it is though, so... Happy Monday!
Today's outfit is really casual. Chris and I spent the weekend together (yay for no duck hunting this weekend) and decided to drive around Saturday and check out some areas on where we would like to buy a home. We definitely found a lot of houses but not as many that were in our price range. Yep, reality check. Either way, it was great getting a feel for what we both like and ultimately we feel in love with a couple of the areas. At least that will help narrow down the search.
Chester (my pup) on the other hand was not feelin' it. He was SO excited to go on a car ride and hang his head out of the window, for the first hour, and then he was completely over it. He huffed and puffed for a bit and then finally decided to just take a nap. I guess next time he'll be more excited to stay at home. haha.
Anyway, back to today's outfit. Like I said, very casual. And most of the pieces I'm wearing are older, except for my cool new vest! I just got it in the mail (on sale of course!) and love it. It's actually more green in person, I'm not sure why my camera decided to make it look more brown. And I really like the pairing of army green and turquoise together. I think it's fun! And since Chris didn't say anything crazy during this photo shoot, I decided to add a fun photo of what it's really like behind the scenes. I get bored... and make plenty of cray cray faces. Enjoy!
OH, and lastly, the giveaway ENDS today. I know, sad day. BUT, tomorrow I will post the winner. I'm so excited to see who wins it. :) Thanks for all who entered and good luck! And if you haven't... go enter NOW. http://signingsteph.blogspot.com/2013/12/rio-ritz-giveaway-happy-monday.html

Love this look! So happy I stumbled upon your blog this morning, you are darling!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! So glad to have a new follower and thanks for reading!
DeleteWe are looking for houses too. Ugh! What a task!! Back home (OHIO), house hunting was so simple. Here in Austin... no way. It's like a full time job. Good luck finding the perfect home!
ReplyDeleteI love Austin! But yes... I've realized it is like a full time job. And it doesn't help that I obsess over it. :/ Good luck in your search!
DeleteFound your blog through the Girl Loves Glam link-up, so glad I did!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I'm one of the few who has yet to master the top knot =(
In any case, I feel your pain about house hunting, we're doing the same in Chicago and sometimes my eyes bug out when I see what people are paying for houses nowadays.
Yay! Glad you found my blog as well. :) You know... some days I still feel like that with the top knot. It always works like this. If I'm lounging around the house I get the perfect top knot. As soon as I get ready to step outside, I have the most difficult time. I don't get it. haha. Anyway, I learned from CaraLoren's blog. I've linked the post here, you should check it out! http://www.caraloren.com/2012/07/top-knot-tutorial.html
DeleteI feel ya on the house hunting. I can't imagine what it must be like in Chicago. Good luck! Thanks so much for stopping by and reading. :)
