Happy Wednesday y'all! Today I want to talk a little bit about the fun event I attended last night. I have to say, this was my first official blogger event and I was so excited.
I know it may seem funny to those of you who go to events all of the time, but I felt important last night. It seemed like I have such the glamorous life as was being escorted up to the 5th floor to a fancy party with a great view of Downtown Dallas. I mean... hey there! If only it really was that glamorous.
I asked one of my best friends to go to the event with me. Cass has her own blog as well, which is hilarious by the way. Seriously, you'll read one of her posts and be hooked. That girl has so many great stories. And if you could only see the way she tells them in person. She is so animated and it makes for great entertainment. Y'all should check out her blog HERE. I had so much fun with her and can't wait to go to even more events together. We make a bangin' team!
So, onto the actual event. It was more of a social scene. Drinks, music, photo booth and a lip reader. Yep, you heard it right, a lip reader. You could either wear your own lip color or they had a bright red for those who didn't add any color to their makeup, ahem Cass (love ya). Basically, you kissed a piece of paper (pucker up, baby) and the lady told you about yourself. I'd say some of mine were spot on and others, I'm not so sure. The ones I'm not so sure about could also be the things I don't really like to believe about myself, ugh. One thing she said about Cass was that you shouldn't ask her for her opinion if you aren't really wanting the truth. And that's the truth. Cass will tell you in a hot second, what you don't want to hear. We all need a friend like that, right?!
Anyway, so we got our lips read, had some drinks, mingled and met some new great bloggers, had some more drinks, met Courtney Kerr, one of the biggest fashion bloggers in Dallas and then called it a night. After of course, we took 50 selfies (but first... let me take a selfie) overlooking Dallas, which aren't included in this post because they all sucked. We had such a great time. Glad I went, glad I met new people and glad I have a blogger friend who I can experience it all with.
I've also linked some of the new gals we met below. Go check 'em out!
