Talking Transition Pieces and Why You Need Them
Monday, January 30, 2017
Morning lovelies!
Today I want to talk a little bit about transitional pieces and why they are the key pieces in your wardrobe. Most of the reasons are obvious, but that's not gonna keep me from mentioning them again. Ha!
So as you have probably seen, this top has been worn and styled a lot of different ways. From casual but also adding bit of flair with the colored jeans to transitioning into a date night, or full on summer vibes to cooler weather layers. A piece that you can take from day to night; wear to work for a business meeting and then turn around and go out with your girls. Those are the pieces that you need to invest in.
What can I say, I love this top. RewardStyle (who I work through with my affiliate links) noted this top to be one of RewardStyle and LiketoKnowIt's most linked and purchased items ever. EVER, y'all. That's big.
It can literally be dressed up or down and comes in a ton of colors. It's linked here if you wanna check it out. Currently on sale and less than $30. A steal for sure! Another obvious reason, but anything $30 or less that is great quality, snatch it up! This top pays for itself over and over again.
Also, style tip - for us shorter girls that wear longer tunics. Tuck in the front to keep it well proportioned. I wouldn't leave it untucked unless you pair it with heels. A little more height will compliment the longer front.
Moving on to another thing I wanted to mention, and I know I've mentioned before is that Abercrombie rebranded themselves. I haven't purchased much from there yet, but these pretty olive jeans are from there and they are great. Again, I've worn them for both work and play, and even styled them for my Christmas look (you can see that look at the bottom of the post). Coincidence that they were paired with this same top? I think not. Just an easy shoe change and BAM - another day to night look. Yeah, get it girl!
But for a more casual look (which is typical for me), I'm also lusting over these comfy blush slip-on beauties. Can you guess? Target + Dolce Vita. Damn Target, y'all.
Someone please keep me out of that place. I'm gonna go broke.
Any pieces that you wear over and over again that I should know about? I'm always on the hunt! Anyway, keeping it short and sweet for this Monday. Have a great week!
