Morning, friends and Happy Monday! I can't believe it's May already. Didn't I just say that for April?! I'm behind on my currents (what's new?!), but I do have something fun for you today, plus a first trimester update coming soon.
But about today.
Who has heard of thredUP? If you are a bargain shopper, which I know a lot of you are, you're gonna love this! thredUP if you don't know, is the largest online consignment and thrift shop. Holla! Who doesn't love that?! Thrift stores can be a beating. Going in, digging for goodies (which I'm not great at), and either leaving feeling like a boss, or leaving feeling defeated. My best friend has all the luck when it comes to thrift stores, me... not so much.
BUT, I am a killer online shopper, so insert thredUP and hello, new obsession!
thredUP has Women's and Kid's clothing, shoes, and accessories - and you can browse by size, price or brand/designer. That's the part I love. I am a bit of a brand snob when it comes to some things, so I love that I can easily track down some of my favorite brands.
So, can you guess which pieces from today's post are from a consignment/thrift shop? If you have followed my blog for a while, you can probably guess what you haven't seen before, but that's the only way. Other than that, the pieces I got were in great condition, and look like-new. Eek! Best part? My entire order was under $30.
Awesome, right? Yep, that's what I thought too. But anyway - the two pieces I got were the cute olive peplum, and the small cross-body bag. Both brand names - the top is from American Eagle (it was $10.99!), and the bag is Nine West. I've been looking for a smaller black bag that I could carry around shopping. Snatched this one up as soon as I saw it. Love them both!
I can see the top paired with a jean jacket for work too, or with a pair of cut-offs and flip flops during the summer. It's really lightweight, and perfect for this Texas heat. This was the first time I've purchased from thredUP, and it won't be the last. Such a great way to update your wardrobe on a budget. And y'all know I'm all about that budget... I mean, there are two babies on the way!
