NEW TRY-ONS: NORDSTROM, OLD NAVY & TARGET
Thursday, April 4, 2019
Hey, y'all! I ordered some new spring pieces recently and decided to be a good blogger and actually document. More than half of the time I get cute new pieces and wear the crap out of them, but never actually take a photo and post it. Fail! But anyway...
Most of these pieces are super affordable and budget friendly, with a few splurges. The dress above is a bit of a splurge (depending what your normal budget is), but it's on sale right now for $23! I definitely recommend you buy one. It's by far my favorite look of all the ones shared today.
I think you can easily style the dress above for work, play and even church. Pair it with a denim jacket and heels, something tied around your waist with sneakers, or just like above. Honestly, so many options! Pieces like this are a closet staple in my opinion.
Next up is this sunny yellow top. It looks bit more orange in the photo but don't be fooled, it is bright yellow! An easy throw on and go piece, and perfect for the hot Texas summers. I have it styled with a nude bra/no cami with no problems. It is pretty lightweight and a bit sheer (see my waist area for clarification), but it isn't enough to bother me. You could wear a cami under it as well if need be. It also comes in a cute vertical stripe... such a huge trend this year!
Another one of my favorites - surprise, surprise. The basic of basics, but again it can be styled so many ways. This dress comes in a few different colors and is always on sale (under $20 right now). My favorite part of this is the longer sleeve. Add a statement necklace and heeled sandals for an elevated look.
This dress is another basic, and I kind of wish I would have photographed it without the jacket. It is more of a body con style, so steer clear if you aren't into that. I do love that it has a scoop neck in the front and back. This one could be paired with an oversized basic tee (knotted in the front), a crop spring sweater, or even a blazer if you want to dress it up. I have more of a casual-style so the above or with a basic tee and sneakers would be my go-tos.
If you want to see more on the fit check out my insta-stories. I'll be uploading the try-on there soon, and they will be saved to my highlights as well.
Until next time.
