N SALE - FALL STAPLES
Wednesday, July 31, 2019
Hello! As promised today I am sharing fall staples from the Nordstrom sale that are still in stock. I'll be honest there were a few additional pieces that I was hoping to share, but the chances they will come back in stock is slim, so I won't even go there.
I am excited about the pieces that are included though, because a few of them are hidden gems (in my opinion) and still available to snag. Yes! Let's get to it.

I am excited about the pieces that are included though, because a few of them are hidden gems (in my opinion) and still available to snag. Yes! Let's get to it.
From top left to bottom right.
1. Faux leather jacket - A fall staple for sure. I purchased a similar black leather jacket a few years back during this sale and it was totally worth it. I still wear it and it still looks brand new. Worth the splurge, and really it's not that much of a splurge being under $75! You can also see this post where I talk about why I think it is great to invest in a faux leather jacket.
2. Leather Crossbody Bag - It's a beaut. The strap is adjustable, the leather is SO soft, and the color is absolutely gorgeous. This one in particular also has a suede detail down the middle which I liked. Spritz it with a waterproofing spray and no worries on it being in the rain and getting damaged. It has two open pockets on the inside and is very roomy for its overall size. It comes in a little under $115 which is great for the quality. Highly recommend if you're in the market.
3. Corduroy Jacket - I selected this one as a fall staple one because of the color, and two because I think it can be styled multiple ways. I can see it paired with a white tee, sneakers and denim; a midi body con dress and booties or sneakers; or even with a lace cami, skinny jeans and pumps. It can really jump from super casual to dressy with the change of a top. Comes in plus size as well, and can definitely sit in your closet year after year and continue to be worn.
4. Black/White Striped Tee - It isn't a fall staple if it isn't a black and white striped basic tee. I mean, come on. Enough said. I grab at least one of these a year and wear it ALL. THE. TIME. This is an even better catch because it is on sale for under $20. Holla! Also comes in about 5 other colors, including solids.
5. Mock Neck Sweater - I love this one so much because it looks so dang comfy. I love fall the most because of the comfy knit sweaters. Ahh, I want it to be fall already! This one comes in 3 other colors, and can be worn both for work or play. I can see it paired with black slacks and snakeskin booties, a suede skirt and booties or flats, or again - ripped denim and sneakers. So many options! Remind me why I didn't buy this one?
6. Booties - You should already know how much I love these because I have raved about them multiple times. But if you don't know, I bought these and I really like them. The color again, is gorgeous in person, and the fit is nice. It says online that they run 1/2 size small but I ordered my normal size and have no issues. So not sure what that is about!
7. Faux Leather Leggings - Last but not least the leggings. I have yet to purchase this exact pair because I found another pair that worked for me last year. But, with that being said, the reviews are awesome and I hear they really suck you in. Although I don't have these, I did wear the similar ones I bought last year at least once a week. They are slightly edgy (if you wanna be edgy), comfortable and easy to throw on and go. We all love that don't we? I mostly paired mine with an oversized tee or an oversized sweater for those extra lazy days. You could also dress them up with over the knee booties and a long blouse for work. Keepin' those options open, ladies! Also available in plus size.
All in all, my favorite of the above (probably because I bought it) is the leather bag. It is so pretty, soft and roomy. I LOVE it. I have been on the hunt for a while but didn't want to spend $168 for it. When I saw it was part of the sale it was a no-brainer. It will be my everyday bag and it's so great for that. It also comes in olive which is equally as pretty. Basically Madewell stole the show for me this year. My favorite purchases were Madewell and the quality is on point. Highly recommend!
Hopefully this gives you an idea of some fall staples to add to your wardrobe, and how to wear them. Each of these pieces can be worn and styled so many ways which is why they are great to invest in. I am always on the lookout for basic pieces (more so over trendy items) because I can wear them longer and mix and match easily.
Until next time. Happy Wednesday!
