If there is one thing that defines my style, I think it would be distressed denim. From jeans to jackets, I love a good distressing. There is something about it that creates just the right amount of edge.
When I got this distressed black denim jacket in my StitchFix last month I thought YES, they finally get me. It was the only piece I kept from the box, but I just couldn't help myself. This jacket can be styled with literally anything. I plan to wear it how I styled it here, with shorts in the warmer months, and even with cute floral dresses.
I like mixing something darker and more edgy with a feminine piece like a bright floral dress. This denim jacket will do exactly that. It kind of gives off an acid wash feel too, with the changes in color. I really like that... adds some depth!
And sneakers, I mean they are everywhere right now, and I'm not mad about it. What better than for sneakers to be in style, and rockin' a chic and comfortable look? Heels and beauty is pain is overrated... don't ya think? I'm all for the casual style.
You could easily swap out the clutch for a cross body or shoulder bag for a more casual look; think weekend errands. Here, I was more in the mindset of a casual, but funky date night look. The leopard clutch adds just the right amount of sass. The clutch though, I mean I have styled this thing so many different ways. You can see it dressed up for Valentine's Day here, and again here.
I like sharing pieces with you guys that you can style multiple ways, basically getting the most bang for your buck.
I recently shared these high-waisted black jeans as well (currently on sale for $25). I think everyone should own a pair of black denim. Goes with everything, and just a step up from your everyday wear. Also, I've heard that black slims... yeah? If that's the case, rack 'em up!
Keep it casual, friends. Until next time!
