Happy Monday! I am excited to finally kick off some new looks and new content for the blog. I am brainstorming and planning, and doing all the things behind the scenes to get back on track here.
If you have any recommendations or thoughts on what you want to see more of, leave me a comment below. You can also comment on one of my Instagram posts, and I'll be sure to see it there. I would love to hear from you, and always excited to share exactly what you want to see!
Today I decided to keep it pretty casual, but what's new?! Basics are my go-to, that's no surprise. I have said it before and I'll say it again - always purchase pieces that can be styled multiple ways. What I love about this henley top (currently BOGO 50% off through today!), is that I can wear it to work (we're laid back), and also in my personal life. It is the perfect basic to pair with jeans, shorts, and even overalls. I think it would also look adorable with a lace bralette underneath.
Take it into the cooler months layered under a sweater, jacket or flannel. Although, I'm sure we're all wishing away the cooler weather right now. Am I right?!
Speaking of layering, I like adding a third piece to a look as a final touch. This plaid could have been worn over the top, or tied around the waist - whatever suits your style.
This same look can be paired with sneakers (I like these) or espadrille wedges (I have these, and a less expensive option here). I opted for sandals because I was hoping for summer weather, but it was actually cold that day, ha! These sandals are so great for the pool and beach when it finally gets warm though. Did I mention they are under $13 also? Steal!
And lastly, for all of my shorter gals - I have been living in these cropped jeans! They are the perfect length without having to roll the hem, and they have plain back pockets (I'm weird about that!). If you are in the market for a new pair of denim - try these. They fit true to size (TTS), and don't stretch out at the knees.
And for anyone more interested in my cute babes, there will be a 7 month update on Wednesday. Come back and give it a read!
Until next time.
